We had a lovely session in the wood and were very lucky not to get soaked through as it rained most of the day. Today we reviewed how to put up our parachute and learn to knot it to the trees. There was a lot of discussion about the layers of the canopy and the risks identified around our site. A group of children made our fire and learnt about how to keep it alight. Some children were identifying  the different trees and discussed this in detail: using leaf, bark and tree shape to identify the names of the trees.
