Oxford City & Hillend

Unforgettable Oxford City Residential for Years 5 and 6

Our Years 5 and 6 Oxford City residential offers children a unique and enriching opportunity to experience culture, history and independence in one unforgettable three-day trip. Staying at the well-established Hill End Activity Centre, pupils enjoy a safe, supportive and comfortable base while travelling into Oxford city each day to explore one of the UK’s most inspiring learning environments.

Throughout the visit, children are immersed in hands-on learning beyond the classroom. Highlights include exploring the world-renowned University of Oxford, with a visit to Christ Church College to discover the university’s history and traditions. Pupils also enjoy a scenic river trip, an open-top bus tour of the city, and visits to engaging cultural venues such as the Story Museum, the Natural History Museum and the Pitt Rivers Museum. Time is also built in for shopping and exploring landmarks including Carfax Tower, allowing pupils to experience Oxford’s vibrant atmosphere firsthand.

This residential is carefully planned to balance education, enjoyment and personal development. Children develop confidence, teamwork and independence while being fully supervised by experienced staff at all times. The Oxford City trip is consistently a highlight of the upper-key-stage-two experience and leaves pupils with lasting memories, a deeper appreciation of culture and history, and a genuine excitement for learning.
